The Department of Kinesiology is committed to excellence in teaching,
research and service. We have a
beautiful building with state-of-the art
classrooms and kinesiology laboratories
along with plenty of room to play, work out and watch a national athletic championship!
Our
faculty and
staff are dedicated to providing a
supportive environment and the highest quality program for learning. We
encourage our students to work closely with faculty members on research
projects and become involved in leadership activities on and off-campus.
We offer many
Kinesiology
scholarships for our majors and have
graduate teaching assistantships and
graduate research assistantships available.
At the
undergraduate level, Kinesiology offers
programs in physical education teaching,
adapted physical education, coaching,
corporate fitness and
pre-physical therapy.
At the graduate level, we offer programs leading to
the Master of Science in the areas of
administration,
adapted physical education,
biomechanics,
coaching (softball
emphasis), exercise physiology,
pedagogy,
and
exercise and sports nutrition. We also offer a Doctorate of
Philosophy in the areas of
administration,
adapted
physical education,
biomechanics, and
exercise physiology.
