 We
Needed You Then...
And We Need You Now
One of the continuing
efforts of Texas Woman's University is enhancing programs and resources
for students by strengthening alumni support. The
Then & Now
Campaign is an initiative designed to forge a connection
between past, current and future kinesiology students. As an alumna, you
can leave a legacy to the young women and men entering the kinesiology
field by supporting TWU in providing a superior educational experience.
Your generosity will
not only enhance students' career opportunities but also raise the bar
of excellence in kinesiology education, making TWU a leader in producing
outstanding kinesiology professionals.
Alumni and friends like
you deserve the opportunity to give back for the rewards of their
accomplishments and be recognized for their dedication to TWU and the
bright future of its students.
Supporting Our
Mission
“To be the foremost institution in the
development of professionals, especially women, for leadership,
scholarship, research and practice in the movement disciplines that
contribute to active, healthy lifestyles.”
Your commitment will enable the TWU
kinesiology department to continue its long-standing dedication to
students through important program goals which include:
-
Providing outstanding undergraduate and
graduate education with an emphasis on critical thinking, problem
solving and hands-on learning experiences in the study of human
movement.
-
Providing opportunities for students of
all ages to engage in life-long learning.
-
Extending our understanding of the human
condition in the movement domain through quality research.
-
Serving the local community through
after school and adult education, fitness and activity programs.
Remembering Excellence
Two scholarship funds devoted to supporting today’s students while

need of your support.

ago by alumni, family and friends as a memorial to Dr. Duggan for her
outstanding contributions to her students, the field of kinesiology and
TWU.
The
Ivalene & Robert Sherrill Annual Scholarship
Dr. Claudine Sherrill, Professor Emerita
in adapted physical education, established this annual scholarship in
