Application Process
Once you have made the decision to apply for our Online Program, you will need to follow our application procedures. Although online education is convenient for many, not everyone is a candidate for the online learning environment. Therefore, a learning assessment will be part of this application process.
All students enrolled in Health Studies Online courses must be able to attend the First Class Meetings on the Denton campus at the beginning of each semester.
To be successful in the Health Studies Online Program, please review the “Are you ready to learn online?” portion of our website.
How to become an
Undergraduate Health Studies Online Major
- Gain acceptance to TWU (if you are not already a TWU student. You must be accepted by the University before you can be accepted to the Health Studies Online Program.)
- Read all the information provided on this website pertaining to the Health Studies Online Program.
- Verify that your cumulative GPA is at least 3.0 (our minimum GPA requirement for entry into the HS online program).
- Complete the H.S. Online Program application. Please click here to download the application.
- Complete the Learning Style Assessment, as indicated on the application. Submit the results of your Learning Style Assessment along with your application. Please click here to download the Assessment.
- Include unofficial copies of transcripts with your online application materials.

- You will receive a response concerning your Health Studies Online Program application status within 1-2 weeks (after you are accepted to TWU). If you are accepted, you MUST plan on attending the First Class Meetings scheduled the Saturday before the first week of each semester.
**Application Deadlines**
- May 1st for Summer
- August 1st for Fall
- November 1st for Spring
