Supervised Hygiene ServicesClinic Phone: 940.898.2888

  • Oral Prophylaxis (teeth cleaning), including bitewing radiographs if necessary
  • Pit and Fissure Sealants (to prevent tooth decay in grooves of teeth)
  • Topical Fluoride Application (must be preceded by prophylaxis at the same appointment time)
  • Full Mouth Radiograph Survey (allow at least 2 weeks after completion of radiograph survey for the release of any radiographs)
  • Panoramic Survey (surveys surrounding structures of teeth and TMJ)
  • Disease Control Counseling (preventive oral hygiene and dietary counseling)

These services are offered at reduced cost because students provide them in a learning situation. Keep in mind that these appointments are 4 hours in length. If your schedule does not allow for these appointments, you should not use TWU for these services. Anyone who schedules an appointment must be able to return if necessary to complete treatment.

Students are supervised by faculty and a clinic dentist. The Dental Hygiene Clinic provides non-discriminatory treatment.
