Dental Hygiene Program
The program prepares graduates to practice in both traditional private dental offices and many nontraditional settings such as hospital, institutional and public health clinics. They are also eligible to serve as faculty in associate degree dental hygiene education programs, work as sales representatives and managers for dental retail businesses, serve in research positions in private and public agencies, be employed by dental insurance companies, and advance to graduate or professional school. The Denton campus is located in Denton, Texas which has a small town atmosphere with all the benefits of living within easy reach of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The program has had an active Student Chapter of the American Dental
Hygienists' Association since it began. As a result, many graduates have
gone on to hold leadership positions in their professional associations. |
