Dean’s Message
Welcome to the
College of Health Sciences at Texas Woman’s University. The College
includes the Departments of Communication Sciences & Disorders,
Dental Hygiene, Health Care Administration, Health Studies,
Kinesiology, Nutrition & Food Sciences and the Schools of
Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. The mission of the
College is to develop leaders in the Health Science profession
through exemplary academic programs, research and service. Texas
Woman’s University has a long history of preparing responsible
health professionals to meet the needs of an ever changing health
care environment. Students are prepared for this challenge through
outstanding trans-disciplinary, professional training programs that
model and foster life-long learning, critical thinking, leadership
and the acceptance of social and ethical responsibility.
I am very proud of the outstanding faculty in the College of Health Sciences. Our faculty’s
accomplishments include numerous teaching, research and service
awards at the regional, national and international levels.
Collaborations among faculty, students and community professionals
promote teaching, service and scholarly opportunities.
