Who can participate in TETN?
TETN,
currently in its fourth cycle, was designed to help ameliorate the shortage of
speech-language pathologists in the public schools of Texas. To date,
almost 300 students have completed their master's degree through this learning
venue. Cycle 5 Information meetings are currently being offered.
TETN is offered only to:
a) in-field students (those with a bachelor’s degree in
communication sciences), OR out-of-field students (those whose bachelor’s degree
is in another area) who have completed the required
leveling courses by the start of the next TETN
cycle.
b) students sponsored by a qualifying educational entity
in the state
of Texas, and,
c) students who reside in or can commute to a participating ESC region.
