June 12, 2007

Good day,

I hope you can be of assistance.  I am the Special Education Administrator in charge of the Hearing Impaired Programme in Bermuda.  We are in need of a Master's level Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  We have three posts and presently one is being vacated.  The post will remain open until it is filled.  Our student population in this programme ranges from birth to senior school in a combined inclusionary/pull-out setting across all year levels.  The students use a range of communication modes and have a range of abilities.  Paraeducator support personnel are also assigned to identified students.

Our location is a lovely semi-tropical island approximately 700 miles off the coast of North Carolina, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  Interested persons may inquire about the post using my contact information below.  The successful candidate would be subject to Bermuda Immigration approval and could be offered a three-year contract subject to a one year probationary period.  Unattached teachers and teachers with families are encouraged to apply.  If you receive this E-mail today I can be reached in Rhode Island at 401-944-2837 on June 12th only (voice only, no TTY).  After Friday, June 15th, I can again be contacted in Bermuda.  Some of you may have also received a voicemail message from me today.

I would appreciate if you could get the word out.  I apologize in advance if you receive this E-mail message more than once.

Sincerely,
Denise M. Foggo
