Background: The Texas Woman’s University (TWU) Institute of Health Sciences - Houston Center is now five (5) years old, excellently built and furnished, with academically recognized programs and exceedingly qualified faculty, staff and students. TWU is well recognized as a leader in healthcare education in Houston, the State of Texas, the nation, and increasingly in other countries.
Purpose: The purpose of TWU’s Institute of Health Sciences – Houston Center’s Ambassador Program is to elevate TWU’s intellectual presence within the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and to showcase TWU program offerings in Occupational and Physical Therapy, Health Care Administration, Nutrition and Food Sciences, and Nursing, demonstrating the collaborative potential across the TMC.
The Ambassadors will help fulfill the need to inform the TMC of the credentials and status of the modern Texas Woman’s University. It is hoped that this group of goodwill ambassadors will communicate back to TWU where there are opportunities to expand TWU’s outreach in the community.
