Single Parent Resources Information Networking Technology (SPRINT) Scholarship
The Division of Student Life is pleased to announce a brand new scholarship opportunity for TWU students who are also single parents.
The Single Parent Resources Information Networking Technology (SPRINT) Scholarship is funded by a grant from TG, a nonprofit student loan guarantor in Round Rock, Texas.
Scholarship recipients will receive $1,250 per semester for childcare expenses, a free laptop computer, as well as personalized guidance for academic, career, and personal development.
To apply all of the following must be submitted:
- Completed application form
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
Your name must appear on each page of your letters of reference and your resume.
Applications are due August 17, 2009, no later than 5 pm.

There are two (2) versions of the application form for the SPRINT Scholarship. To download the interactive version you will need to have adobe reader software installed on your computer. This is a free software program that you can download from the internet. If you use the interactive version of the form you will need to type in your responses on the computer than save the entire document to your hard/thumb drive, and then e-mail it as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org. The words “SPRINT Scholarship and your full name must appear in the subject line of the e-mail message.
Letters of recommendation may also be submitted as an e-mail attachment to email@example.com. The letters of recommendation may be submitted by you at the same time you submit all other documents, or you may give your reference to option to submit the letter directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you choose this option, you must tell the person writing your letter the due date and how to submit the letters. If your references are submitting the letters separately from your application, the following must be typed into the subject line of the e-mail: “SPRINT scholarship and YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME”.
If you use the print version of the application form you will need to print a copy of the form, fill in your responses by hand, then deliver along with your resume and two letters of recommendation in person, by mail, or fax to the attention of Bobbie Boler in the department of university housing.
