Lisa Jackson

My name is Lisa Jackson and I am the Area Manager for Guinn Hall.  I have been part of the Pioneer Family since August 2008.  Prior to moving to Texas I lived in Murfreesboro, TN from 2003-06 and Westminster, MD from 2006-08.  I hold a Bachelors of Science in Political Science, a Masters of Arts in Political and Justice Studies, a Paralegal Certificate and am currently working on my Doctorate of Education with an anticipated completion date of August 2012.  Working with college-age students has been something I have truly enjoyed over the years and am excited about the endless possibilities that my future holds in the field of Student Affairs.  It may come as a surprise to some of you but I’m originally from the Southside of Chicago, who would have ever known, go figure, but as some of the previous staff can tell you, every once in a while the “Chi-town” girl comes out to play!  In my free time, I enjoy shopping, traveling, reading, watching basketball and football, going to aquariums and just chillaxin’.  This summer my love of music was renewed and I’m considering to start playing the piano or clarinet again, just for fun and relaxation.  I would like to welcome each of you to an exciting start to the next academic year and remember the sky is the limit.
