Tiffany Larsen, May 2007 Graduate
Tiffany,
a government/legal studies major, graduated in May 2007. She now
attends law school at the University of Texas at Austin.
Tiffany served as an intern in the Dallas office of U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson in fall 2006 and currently is one of only eight students from Texas participating in the Speaker’s Internship Program for the Texas House of Representatives. She received TWU’s Redbud Outstanding Campus Leader Award and Residence Hall Government Leader of the Year Award and has been named the Society of Distinguished Leaders’ Regional Student of the Year.
Shaina Porter, May 2006 Graduate
Shaina, a Biology
major, graduated in May 2006. Shaina is
currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Cancer & Genetics
Research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical
Center.
While at TWU, Shaina was a Chancellor’s Endowed Scholarship recipient and was honored as a Chancellor’s Research Scholar. Shaina is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and was awarded a Phi Kappa Phi graduate fellowship, a $5000 scholarship for the first year of graduate study, which is only granted to 100 students nationwide.
Upon graduation from UT Southwestern Medical Center, she hopes to enter a career of research.
Russell Marriott, December 2006 Graduate
Russell, a business management major, graduated in December
2006.
While at TWU, Russell served as president of the TWU Student Government Association in 2004-05 and was the first male in the history of the university to hold that office. He also founded the student organization HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) at TWU, which consistently ranks as the largest collegiate HOSA chapter in Texas.
During his junior and senior year, Russell participated in a paid internship through Denton Regional Medical Center and upon graduation was hired as the Employer Relations Coordinator.
He now attends Texas Christian University where he is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree.
