Honors Scholars

Social Cultural

Cultural Events

Each year honors students take advantage of some of the many events in the DFW area. Cultural events in recent years have included ballets, musicals (Wicked and the Lion King), and operas.

Museums/Art Galleries

The DFW area is home to some of the best museums in the country including the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon Carter, Dallas Museum of Art, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.  Honors students have enjoyed special exhibits and regular collections at these museums.

NET (Neighbors Educated Together)

Freshman honors students have the option of joining the NET program, a living learning community that provides academic support and social programs.  Students live together on an honors floor, take classes together, and even have group study sessions.

Finals Bash

This event is a fun get-together to take a break from studying for finals and to celebrate the end of the semester.  From massages to holiday goodies students enjoy fellowship and festivities.

The Banquet

The honors banquet is held every Spring before graduation. This is a time to recognize honors students for their work over the course of the year and congratulate seniors on their accomplishment.  The banquet includes a formal dinner and an awards presentation.
