As an Health Studies major, you can earn your bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree.  Following are the admissions requirements for our department.

B.S. and B.A.S. (Online) Degree Application Process

Gain acceptance to TWU (if you are not already a TWU student.  You must be accepted by the University before you can be accepted to the Health Studies Online Program.)   If you are a transfer student, you will need to send official transcripts to the TWU Student Records Office of all previous college credit completed.

  • Read all the information provided on this website pertaining to the Health Studies Online Program.
  • Verify that your cumulative GPA is at least 3.0 or 2.75 for the B.A.S. degree(our minimum GPA requirement for entry into the HS online program).
  • Complete the H.S. Online Program application.  Please click here to download the application.
  • Complete the Readiness for Education At a Distance Indicator (READI) Assessment.  Submit the results of your Assessment along with your application.  Please see the instructions to access the READI assessment tool.
  • Include unofficial copies of transcriptswith your online application materials.
  • Mail or fax everything to the Online Academic Advisor, C. David Infante at 940-898-2859 (fax) or mail to: Department of Health Studies, P.O. Box 425499, Denton, TX 76204.
  • The Undergraduate Online Committee will review your transcripts, application form, and learning assessment.
  •   You will receive a response concerning your Health Studies Online Program application status within 1-3 weeks (after you are accepted to TWU).

Departmental Deadlines for Undergraduate Online Application Submission:

  • November 1st for Spring
  • May 1st for Summer
  • August 1st for Fall

Welcome our New HS Graduate Academic Advisor!

The Health Studies Department has an addition to the Graduate Staff. Ms. Morgan O'Donnell is the new Graduate Academic Advisor.  If you are just getting started in the graduate program or need additional assistance with what courses to take the next semester, course codes, and other milestones along your journey, then Ms. O'Donnell can assist you.  Ms. O'Donnell's office location is CFO 1111 with office hours from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Mon - Fri.   She can be reached at 940-898-2864 or via email modonnell@twu.edu

HS Undergraduate Advising Info

All ONLINE undergraduate students who are scheduled to graduate within the year must be advised immediately. Please contact C. David Infante, Undergraduate Online Academic Advisor at dinfante@twu.edu or call 940-898-2834 to schedule an inhouse appointment.
