Applicants for the certificate program will have completed a baccalaureate degree preferably in a field related to the certificate program. Such related fields include business, nursing, physical or occupational therapy, nutrition and food sciences, health studies and health administration.  Related fields also include dental hygiene, laboratory or radiological technology, biology and chemistry.  Applications for the certificate program are accepted for Spring and Fall semesters.

The following is required for acceptance into the program:

  • Completed application submitted to the Graduate School.
  • Evidence of an earned bachelor’s degree and complete oficial transcripts of undergraduate study with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on last 60 hours toward undergraduate degree and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all prior graduate course work with accompanying transcripts for the same.  
  • Resume to the HCA department
  • Three letters of reference to the HCA department and
  • Statement of your purpose and goals for seeking the post-baccalaureate certificate in healthcare management.
