Update on Fire at the Golf Course Cart Barn:
The Texas Woman’s University Golf Course reopened Wednesday, April 16, 2008, following a fire that destroyed the golf cart barn at the course.

The course will be open to golfers who wish to walk the course or who have their own golf carts.  The university also is exploring the possibility of leasing carts until replacement carts can be purchased.

The fire broke out shortly after midnight Sunday (April 13).  No injuries were reported, but the building and golf maintenance equipment were destroyed.

Update on the Clubhouse:
Clubhouse operations have now moved into a trailer in the Golf Course Parking Lot.  Demo of old the clubhouse occurred on Tuesday, April 15th.  Progress in building the new clubhouse will not change as a result of the fire.  Estimated building time of the new clubhouse is 4 months.  Normal business hours will occur during construction.
