The TWU Former Students Association was organized in 1905 to promote Texas Woman’s University, to raise scholarship funds and to provide opportunities to current and former students and friends of the university for lifelong affiliation and volunteer partnership. Our alumni are actively supporting and volunteering for our programs and events. FSA receives no financial support from the university and has a small office located in the Alumni House on the Denton Campus. Our financial funding is through contributions from our loyal active donors and the FSA Board of Directors works diligently to promote and protect the long traditions and values of TWU.

NEW BYLAWS FOR FSA -

In December, 2013, the general members voted to pass new organizational bylaws.  They reorganize the executive board and set in place new directives for operations and the Provisos relating to the transitions have been determined.  Any questions regarding these changes can be forwarded to the President or the Parliamentarian.

History

In 1905, nine graduates met with Beulah Kincaid, the only graduate of 1904, to organize the first association for the graduates of the College of Industrial Arts in Denton, Texas. On June 5th of 1905,the association was born. Over the years, the university's name has changed, but the graduates have remained faithful loyal supporters of its Alumnae Association.

The university has grown and prospered, progressing from the College of Industrial Arts to Texas State College for Women to Texas Woman's University. The Association has experienced change and commits to broadening its goals and objectives to better represent all the school's graduates.
