Tinesha is a Kinesiology Major working on an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with future plans to obtain a Master’s in APE (Adapted Physical Education). Current certifications include: AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, Special Olympic Coaching Certificate, and CPR/First Aid Certified. She enjoys living an active lifestyle and has a passion for physical fitness and overall wellness. Hobbies of Tinesha’s include running, weight-lifting, playing basketball, and spending time with family and friends. She loves creating new exercise regimens especially for my High Interval Training Group X class offered at TWU Fit & Rec. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree she would like to operate her own fitness facility and train individuals with and without disabilities. Nikita Cole
Swim Instructor
Nikita swam varsity all four years of high school as a Lady Harvester and also for Missouri River Valley Aquatics. Once in college, Nikita swam at the Division II Collegiate level as a Lady Grizzly before acquiring a snow ski injury. She has been a lifeguard since 2008 and has taught swim lessons to a variety of age groups over the years. Currently, she is working towards a degree in Sports Dietetics here at Texas Woman's and enjoys staying active with her four younger brothers. Charles Wesley Crouch

Charles is a lifelong Denton resident and an Adapted Physical Education major at TWU. He plans to work in elementary school physical education. He enjoys reading about new studies in physical fitness, weight loss, and nutrition. He has been weight lifting since 2006. He has studied Tai Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu. Charles is a card-carrying Disney Fan. His favorite sports include baseball, hockey, and tennis. He enjoys mountain biking, playing tennis, and reading in his free time. Bethany became a lifeguard in the spring of 2007 and fell in love with the pool. She quickly acquired her Lifeguard Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, and Certified Pool Operator credentials. She has 3 years of swim instruction under her belt, and loves to work with adults at any and all fitness levels and swimming abilities. She has 5 & 1/2 years lifeguarding experience, and 3 years’ experience training and certifying lifeguards through the American Red Cross. Bethany enjoys teaching shallow water aerobics and leisurely distance swimming and kicking. Bethany is currently working on her 3rd degree from Texas Woman's University, in the Family Therapy Ph.D. program. Bethany enjoys spending time working out at the rec center, or writing at home with her cat, a silver spotted tabby, "Boot." Mike Hong

Mike received his Bachelor of Science at The University of Texas-Austin in Kinesiology and is currently working on a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology at TWU. He grew up participating in different kinds of sports like track, basketball, football, roller hockey, ice hockey, and golf. When he got a car and started eating Taco Bueno every night, needless to say, by the time college hit, he was quite the heavy fellow. Throughout his undergraduate years, he participated in weight lifting began researching the best and safest ways to lose weight. After achieving some major personal goals, it has been in his heart to show others the importance of healthy living and to help them realize that the road to success is hard, but not nearly as hard as it seems. Everyone can do it if they really want it! When he’s not working or studying, you can usually find him somewhere in the gym working out, playing basketball, or rock climbing. Chelsea is a graduate student at TWU studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. She plans to pursue a second Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. Chelsea fell in love with the art of dance at the age of two and continued to dance competitively through college on the Pom Squad at Texas Tech. Chelsea now enjoys staying in shape through regular cardiovascular exercise and weight training. She believes the key to living a long, healthy life is taking care of your mind and body through proper nutrition and regular exercise. Chelsea delights in helping others learn to adapt a healthy lifestyle and better themselves by reaching personal goals. Michael McGehee

Michael is currently pursuing a Masters in Exercise Physiology at TWU. He graduated from Texas State University in 2009 and has been a certified personal trainer since. He has had many diverse work experiences, including an internship at Velocity Sports Performance-Southlake in 2009 where he worked mainly with middle and high school athletes. He then moved on to be a personal trainer at a corporate facility and also served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Texas State Men’s Lacrosse Team. In 2011, Michael accepted a position as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and was responsible for administering Cardiopulmonary Metabolic Exercise Tests, measuring client’s VO2 max, anaerobic threshold, EKG and many other elements of the cardiovascular system. Michael enjoys running, cycling, weight training and almost any other outdoor activity. Training sessions with him will be fun, dynamic, challenging and will help you meet a variety of goals. Kelsey Nixon

Kelsey is a NASM certified personal trainer. She just recently graduated from TWU in the spring with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics. She is currently working on her master’s in Exercise and Sports Nutrition. Kelsey was a competitive member of the TWU gymnastics team for the entirety of her undergraduate career. She believes that staying fit and living healthy is a lifetime commitment. Gradually weeding out the bad habits and creating good habits is key. Implementing a workout plan with set goals in mind will help one reach their wellness dreams. Outside of work she enjoys running, camping, and being outdoors. Nadia Shalwani

Nadia is currently a TWU student studying Nutrition with an emphasis in Dietetics. Nadia has worked as a Boot-camp instructor as well as personal training at LA Fitness for a year and a half. Her passion lies in teaching individuals on how to live a healthier life style. She fully believes that health and fitness is the only way to live a happier and longer life. Nadia has also participated in dance, flag football as well as basketball; she is a huge NFL fan. She also enjoys experimenting on different kinds of workout routines, anything that will make a workout effective and fun! Christina Sherman
AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor
Christina is a graduate student completing her Master’s in Music Therapy with plans to start the Master's of Nutrition following graduation. She became interested in fitness while learning about living a healthier lifestyle and losing weight, which led to an interest in group exercise. Christina is certified by AFAA in Group Exercise and also holds certifications in TurboKick, PiYo, Insanity, and Power Cycle. She has also taught Boot Camp and Beachbody Blast at TWU. Megan received her Bachelor of Science at California Baptist University in Business Administration. Currently, she is working on her M.B.A. with an emphasis in Health System Management and Pre-Physical Therapy coursework. She was a member of The University of Houston’s Women’s Basketball team for 2 years and a member of California Baptists’ Women’s Basketball team for the following 2 years while completing her undergraduate degree. Julie is currently pursuing her Masters in Sports Nutrition and becoming an RD. She has received her Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University. When she started school, she was pre-medicine, but later switched her major to nutrition, where she found a love and passion for the subject. After graduation, she worked with her nutrition degree in different capacities. She started personal training because helping people get healthier is a passion of hers and she enjoys working with people. She has worked with diverse clientele, ranging from teens to people in their 60’s. She hopes to one day work with athletes. She can help bring out the athlete in you.
