TWU Intramural Sports offers students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to participate in many sports and activities throughout the year. Participants can continue playing their favorite sports or try a new activity for the first time. Fitness & Recreation offers individual and team leagues such as golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball and many others each semester. You can organize your own team or sign up as a free agent to be placed on a team. All skill levels are welcome!

League and Tournaments Information
Dodgeball Tournament: . The cost is FREE for TWU Students and Fitness & Recreation members, but registration is required. The league is open to complete teams only. (no free agent registration) The tournament will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 7pm on the basketball court in the new fitness center. Dodgeball Rules
Basketball League: Games will be played on the newly constructed basketball court in the new fitness center. The league is 5-on-5 and will consist of a men’s and co-ed divisions. Play begins February 6th for the men’s league with all games played on Monday nights. The coed league begins on February 8th with all games played on Wednesday nights. Games will begin at 6pm each night for both leagues. Basketball Rules
Badminton League: This league will be held on the badminton courts in the new fitness center. The league will consist of singles and mixed doubles and play will begin Tuesday, February 7th at 5pm. Badminton Rules
Guitar Hero Tournament: The tournament will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 7pm in the lounge in the new Fitness and Recreation center. Cost is FREE for TWU students and Fitness and Recreation members. Registration is required and individuals can sign up at the front desk in the new fitness center.
Table Tennis Tournament: A double elimination, single's division tournament will be held on February 24th at 1pm on the basketball court in the new fitness center. The tournament is open to both men and women. All play will be coed. Tournament Rules
Sand Volleyball: Volleyball is the most popular intramural sport on the TWU campus! This league will be coed 6-on-6 teams with play beginning on Tuesday, March 13th at 4:30pm on the sand volleyball court behind the Little Chapel in the woods. Sand Volleyball Rules
Wii Just Dance Competition: The dance competition will be held Thursday, March 8th at 7pm in the lounge in the new Fitness and Recreation center. Cost is FREE for TWU students and Fitness and Recreation members. Registration is required and can be done at the front desk in the new fitness center.
Kickball League: This league will consist of 6-on-6 co-ed teams. Play will begin Wednesday, April 4th at 4:30pm at the intramural field located off of University Drive. Kickball Rules
Quidditch Tournament: Back by popular demand! An end of the semester quidditch tournament will be held May 4th at the intramural field located off of University Drive at 1pm. More information coming soon. Quidditch Rules
**All tournaments and leagues are open to TWU students, faculty, staff, and Fitness and Recreation members only. Unless otherwise noted, all leagues are $5 per person.**
How To Register For Intramural Sports
All intramural sport event registration takes place at the Student Recreation Center front desk. Online registration is no longer offered. Individuals without a team can register as a free agent to be placed on a team, unless otherwise noted. Some events and tournaments do not allow individual registration.
Checking The Schedule
It is the responsibility of each player to check the online play schedule for each sport. Schedules will be updated frequently, so check back as often as possible. If there is a dramatic change in the schedule, the Recreation Supervisor will either notify the entire league/team through email or contact each captain via a phone call or text message.
SPORTSMANSHIP POLICY
In order to promote good sportsmanship, the intramural program has adopted a sportsmanship policy. It is the responsibility of the team and players to make sure the game atmosphere is friendly and fun to both staff and fellow participants.
