Employment

Each semester, close to 80 students are employed by Fitness and Recreation through work-study or part time employment.  We provide training for most positions and offer various leadership opportunities for advancement.  We also offer certification courses throughout the year for lifeguarding, personal training, and group exercise instruction.

    *Experience playing or officiating in the sport you want to apply for is required. Training is available.

Positions fill quickly, so apply early in the semester.  Student staff positions include:

• Personal Trainers
• Intramural Sports Scorekeepers and Officials 
• Group Exercise Instructors
• Golf attendents
• Lifeguards
• Swim Instructors
• Front desk attendants
• Fitness floor staff
• Officials and scorekeepers for Flag Football, Soccer, and Volleyball, etc. 
• Rock Wall Staff
