Create Your Own Fun!
Open Recreation is a designated time for students, Fitness and Recreation members, and the community to use Kitty Winter Magee Arena (basketball courts) located in Pioneer Hall.
What does it cost to participate in Open Recreation?
It is free for TWU students and Fitness and Recreation members.
Community members pay $5/person/visit OR $15 for a weekly pass.
When can I participate in Open Recreation?
Monday - Friday
12 - 1pm*
Monday - Thursday
9 - 11pm*
*Hours are subject to change due to TWU athletics, intramural sports, and special events held by the TWU campus.
What equipment is available for me to use?
We have:
Basketballs
Volleyballs (net/poles available if needed)
Indoor Soccer balls
Cones (for soccer goals)
Can anyone use the equipment?
Yes! Make sure you:
1. Check in at the Pioneer Hall front desk with your TWU student ID or Fitness and Recreation membership key tag, and get a colored wristband.
2. Ask the attendant for the equipment you want. You must leave a photo ID with the attendant and sign out the equipment. The ID will be given back when the equipment is returned and signed in at the front desk.

INTRO NIGHTS
Intro Nights is a free program provided to the TWU community to encourage experiencing and learning a new activity. You will need to register for a spot through the Portal or in-person with the Recreation Supervisor, Erin Smith.
How to Register for Intro Nights:
1. Login into your Portal
2. Click on "My Tools"
3. Click on "Recreation Signup Form"
4. Fill out registration form completely with personal information and choose Intro Nights session you would like to participate in.
Snorkeling - Learn how to enjoy the beauty of the deep from the surface! Snorkel, mask, and fins provided or bring your own.
