Board of Regents

The governance of the Texas Woman's University is vested by law in the Board of Regents, which is composed of nine members, of whom at least four shall be women, each appointed to a term of six years by the Governor of the State and confirmed by the Senate. Within the limits of the law, the Board shall be and is the final authority in all matters affecting the University.

The Board may adopt such rules and regulations for the management of the affairs of the Texas Woman's University as the conduct of the business may require; but such rules and regulations shall not be inconsistent with the University's Bylaws or the laws of the State of Texas.
