
Welcome to the
Exercise Physiology Laboratory. The
Exercise Physiology Laboratory
is made up of a 950 square foot Human Exercise Testing Laboratory
and a 600 square foot Biochemistry Laboratory.
The primary role of the laboratory is in the
training of undergraduate students for professions in cardiac
rehabilitation and corporate wellness/fitness. Advanced training in
exercise physiology is available through the masters of science or
doctoral programs.
The secondary role of the laboratory is to perform research to generate new knowledge in the prevention of hypokinetic diseases. Current research being performed in the laboratory is examining the effects of exercise and nutritional interventions on lipid and glucose metabolism. We are presently recruiting volunteers to participate in our research investigations.
