Withdrawal from the University

A student who finds it necessary to withdraw from all credit classes must formally withdraw from the University through the Office of Student Life at:

Office of Student Life
Texas Woman's University
P.O. Box 425379
Denton, TX 76204-5379
Phone: 940/898-3601
Fax: 940/898-3629
E-Mail: StuLife@twu.edu

The effective date of withdrawal is the day upon which the student submits the completed Request for Withdrawal Form, and it is approved by the Office of Student Life. Withdrawals are not permitted during the week preceding the first day of final examinations for either the long sessions or summer terms.

A student who withdraws on or up to the official day of census will have no record of coursework on the transcript. A student who withdraws after the day of census and before the last day to drop without penalty will receive a grade of "W." After the last date of withdraw without penalty, the grade of "WF" is assigned, unless the student withdraws for medical reasons or a "W" is recommended by the instructor.

Please see the TWU refund policy for amount of refund. The last day to withdraw from the University is listed in the Academic Calendar for each term (see TWU Schedules of Classes).
