TWU OneCard

TWU has contracted with HigherOne to issue student refunds.  Refunds are not disbursed by the University.

If this is your first semester at TWU, you will automatically receive your TWU OneCard within 10-14 days after you register for classes.  The card will be mailed to the address of record at the University.

The TWU OneCard is NOT a credit card.  It is a debit card that can be used anywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted. Even if you choose not to use it, you will need the information on the card to sign-up for your preferred method of receiving refunds.  Please DO NOT throw it away.

If you are entitled to a refund (from scholarships, financial aid, and refunds from schedule changes) you can receive it one of three ways:

  1. Directly on your student TWU Debit Card via the OneAccount (happens immediately)
  2. Another bank account of your choice (takes 2-3 business days)
  3. Paper check (takes 5-7 business days)

To activate or find more information about the TWU OneCard, please visit www.twuone.com.  For more information you may also contact the Bursar’s Office at (940) 898-3570.

Note:  Students must contact the Bursar’s Office to request refunds due to schedule changes.  Credit balances that occur due to a schedule change where the original payment was made online by credit card can be applied back to the cardholder’s account by contacting the Bursar’s Office.

Minimum Enrollment for Financial Aid
Contributed by Governor Jackson, Director of Financial Aid

Recipients of federal or state financial aid must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) credit hours a semester at Texas Woman’s University to retain financial aid eligibility. Exceptions are made for students who have completed all regular coursework and are only enrolled in Thesis, Professional Paper, or Dissertation.

Aid recipients who withdraw from TWU prior to completing 60% of the semester are required to repay a portion of their financial aid in accordance with formulas published by the federal Department of Education. These formulas pro-rate any financial aid that was applied to university charges and often result in a balance owed for students who withdraw prior to completing 60% of the semester. Additional information may be found on the TWU Financial Aid Web Page at http://www.twu.edu/finaid/refunds.htm .

Distance Learners - want to find a way to get involved on campus but not sure where you fit in or how to plug in from off-campus? I have two great opportunities for you.

Dance Marathon- This year we are challenging all groups on campus to form the biggest, loudest, most extreme team to participate in the marathon. Or get involved as an individual. This is Your opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life & also attend the party of your life! Check out our website at www.twudancemarathon.com.

Alternative Spring Break – Save the date- March 16th – 21st. This year we are headed to Biloxi, MS to help with the Katrina Re-building efforts. ASB provides an opportunity to experience, discuss and understand social issues in a meaningful way.  These trips encourage teamwork, mutual respect and understanding diversity while challenging comfort zones and developing students into lifelong active citizens.

For more information on any of these events or organizations, contact Candi in the Center For Student Development @ cwestbrook@twu.edu or 940-898-3593.
