How to Create a new DE program

Distance Education Fees

How Can I Spend DE Fees?

The TWU policies on how DE Fees can be spent by the requesting departments is outlined in Section 1.10.4 of the University Policy Manual (portal log-in required). The TWU DE fee policy applies to both Hybrid and Fully DE courses.

How Do I Get a DE Fee Approved?

  1. Complete the DE Fee Worksheet (XLS)
  2. Get signatures from the department chair and dean.
  3. Send the worksheet along with supporting documents to The Office of Distance Education via inner-campus mail or fax.

Important Note: DE Fee Worksheets are for courses, not sections. If the DE fee has been previouly approved and there is no change, you do not need to complete this form.

Study Abroad

The Office of Distance Education now manages the approval process for individual Study Abroad courses offered by Texas Woman's University. Please go to the new Study Abroad website for complete information.

For students seeking information about traveling abroad for a full semester or any other kind of independent travel study, please refer to the Office of International Education travel site.

Off-Campus Classes

Courses other than health-related courses taught at Parkland and Houston are considered off-campus courses. If you are teaching one of these courses, please view the new Guidelines for Offering Off-Campus Courses.

State Authorization to Offer Programs Out-of-State

DE Program Coordinators can view the status of approval for each state by viewing the Status of State Approvals to Offer Distance Education. (portal log-in required)
