The TWU Division of Dance offers scholarships in recognition of excellence in choreography, performance, and/or academic achievement to full-time undergraduate and graduate dance majors. Our excellence scholarships are given to continuing students, while our other scholarships may be given to continuing students or to incoming graduate students demonstrating the potential for artistic and academic success. These awards typically range from $500 - $1,000. Some awards may include an out-of-state tuition waiver. Students who receive scholarships are asked to volunteer 4 service hours each semester in support of the department. Scholarships are awarded for one year. Except where noted, undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.5 and graduate students a GPA of 3.8 to be eligible. All criteria are predicated on the student’s successful academic and artistic participation within the dance major as a whole.

All graduate students accepted to the M.A., M.F.A. and Ph.D. dance programs are considered for available graduate student scholarships in dance. The graduate program application materials required by the dance division serve as the scholarship application. Scholarships are awarded in May at the annual Dance Celebration Luncheon.

In addition to the below scholarships, all new students are encouraged to seek scholarship support and/or financial assistance through the Office of Financial Aid
