Classroom and Event Technology Support
Additional technology support for classes and special events is available by request. This may include support for guest speakers with presentations, special software to be displayed in class, among others. Additional technology support can be requested in two ways:
- Include support needs in the Room Reservation Request
- Submit a Footprints ticket to the Dallas Support Team outlining support needs
Videoconferencing
The Dallas Support Team ensures that videoconferences are connected a 1/2 hour before the event start time and that your connection with the remote site has been properly tested. All videoconference controls are accessed by touch panel, including speaker volume, component selection, and camera views.
Software Training and Assistance
We provide one-on-one training on a variety of software, including:
- Blackboard
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Phoenix
- Pioneer Portal
- Datatel/Colleague
- gMedia
- SharePoint
- Windows XP, Windows 7
- CPS (classroom clickers)
Instructional Support Services publishes how-to documents for commonly used features in university tools. Documentation is available for the following:

Faculty Development Room
Located in room 6609, the Faculty Development Room is part of the ISS Dallas Support Team suite on the 6th floor. It contains tools and equipment for the following activities:
- Lecture recording
- VHS > Digital converstion
- Video editing
- Scanning

Poster Printing
Research poster printing is available on campus. All posters mut be in print-ready condition when submitted. Please contact us for further information.
Technology Discounts
TWU offers students, faculty, and staff discounts on computers and software, as well as free antivirus software. Discounted technology includes:

Phone and Voicemail
Dallas ISS supports phone and voicemail services. Voicemail accounts are available for any permanent (full-time or part-time) faculty or staff member. Click here for more information on phone and voicemail services.
Wireless Internet Access
Wireless internet access is available throughout the Dallas Center. Users are prompted to log in to the network upon launching an internet browser.
