TExES/ExCET Deadlines and Qualifying Test Schedule

Registering for the Exam

Material needed in the Student Support Office  (Stoddard 211):

• Completed TExES/ExCET registration form (in registration bulletin)
• TExES/ExCET registration envelope with return address and stamp
• Check or money order made out to NES for $82
• Qualifying exam score of 80 or better on test to be taken -OR-
• Documentation of "completer" status: degree posted for undergraduates; official transcripts of courses taken off-campus; memos of substitutions; titles of individual study and special topics courses; AND district service record verifying completion of required teaching experience in area/level of certificate.

TExES Qualifying Test Schedule for Spring 2005
You may take one of the following tests per session:

TExES:

• Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities EC-4
• Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities 4-8
• Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities 8-12
• Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities EC-12
• Generalist EC-4
• Generalist 4-8
• Bilingual Supplemental EC-4
• Bilingual Supplemental 4-8
• English Language Arts and Reading 4-8
• English Language Arts & Reading 8-12
• Special Education Supplemental

Contact your advisor for qualifying tests for all other certification areas. Scores will be emailed within one week of the test administration, score reports will be mailed within three weeks.
