Practice-Based Experience Applications

The Professional Development office is here to facilitate your observation or practice-based experience placements. The districts have asked that all the TWU placements go through our office to ensure that proper procedures are followed for observations. Students at districts without proper authorization can become a liability for the districts as well as TWU. Please help us honor the district’s request.

The final deadline for submitting requests is the fourth week of class. It is not recommended that you wait until that deadline because it takes 4-6 weeks to receive a confirmed placement after receipt of completed paperwork.

The “Student Application” is for students participating in an individual practice-based experience.

The “Course Application” is to be used when the entire class is participating in the experience together and the application is submitted by the professor along with the criminal background forms for each student in the class. These requests are submitted as a class and not individually.
