DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY SCIENCES
Family professionals can earn the MASTER of SCIENCE in FAMILY STUDIES offered by the TWU College of Professional Education. The 34-credit hour program is offered completely on the Internet. Eleven of the courses that comprise this degree also meet the standards of the National Council on Family Relations. At the completion of the degree, the graduate is qualified for the Provisional Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential.

DEPARTMENT OF TEACHER EDUCATION
The MASTER of ARTS in TEACHING (MAT) is an interdisciplinary degree designed to prepare students who hold a baccalaureate degree but lack the credentials to teach in the public school system. The program offers you opportunities to study in a traditional on-campus environment or to complete the program through distance learning. You will seek initial educator certification as part of your graduate study. As an MAT student, you will also have an opportunity to enroll in content course offered in graduate programs in special education, bilingual education, early childhood education, and reading education as well as programs in academic areas in the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Health Sciences.

SCHOOL OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION STUDIES
The MASTER of LIBRARY SCIENCE (MLS) online degree is designed to prepare professionals to work in academic, public, school, corporate and other special libraries, as well as other types of information environments. The online courses usually offer several optional face-to-face meetings during the semester so that students can meet their professors and other classmates, but these meetings are not required. Courses are continually added to the rotation in the Distance Education format so check each semester for updates.
