Apartment Fair

Each March, apartment complexes throughout Denton come to TWU to showcase their properties. For more information about Apartment Fair and the properties that attend, see our Apartment Fair site!

Holiday Gift Program Information for Sponsors

The Texas Woman’s University community is known for supporting our students inside and outside of the classroom. We are offering faculty, staff and community organizations an opportunity to support the TWU Holiday Gift program which provides assistance for a special group of students who juggle the roles of parent, student, and family “breadwinner”. As a sponsor you will provide gifts for the children of the student or students with whom you are matched. Your generosity will help make this holiday season a merry one for our students and their children.

TWU Salutes Veterans

On November 11th, TWU hosts a variety of events to celebrate Veteran's Day.  Check out pictures of TWU Salutes Veterans 2010!

In addition to events that day, Commuter and Non-Traditional Services, in conjunction with other campus partners sponsors the following events:

• Veteran's Lunch
• Bootcamp
• Veteran's Golf (at Student Price)
• TWU Volleyball Salute to Veterans

This year our Veteran's Day Program will be held on the Downtown Denton Square at the Old Court House. Shuttles will be provided for transportation to and from the event. The shuttles will pick up passengers between 10am-10:50am and return to campus at 12pm. For more information on the event download this year's program (pdf.).

Commuter Breaks

Twice a month, Commuter Services provides free peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bottled water, and other snacks for commuter students from 4:30-6p, typically in MCL or ASB. See our calendar for the next commuter break!

Non-Traditional Student Week

Mon., Nov. 7th - Thurs., Nov 10th

Non-Traditional Student Week is a national event held in November. At TWU, events include veteran's basketball/volleyball game, family open swim at the TWU indoor pool, chair massages, commuter breaks, and other activities as diverse as non-traditional students!

Commuter Appreciation Week

Every October and March, Commuter Services dedicates an entire week to you! Events typically include a Commuter Lunch, Commuter Breaks & Breakfasts, give-aways, evening events, and other events designed especially for commuter students!
