Steps to Admission to Undergraduate:

  1. Apply to The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders by completing and submitting the following three forms:
    1. Departmental Application to Undergraduate Program (pdf)
    2. Admissions & Retention Criteria  (pdf)
    3. Undergraduate Student Code of Ethics (pdf)
  2. Have completed 30 semester hours
  3. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and/or a GPA of 2.75 over the last 30 semester hours of course work
  4. Students not yet eligible for admission to the Department are advised through the Academic Advising Center- Sonja Widman (940) 898-3819 (office: HDB 202)

Retention in Program:

  • Students must maintain overall GPA of 3.0 in COMS courses to remain in program
  • Students must not have more than two grades of C or below in any COMS courses
  • Students must adhere to the Code of Ethics
  • A COMS course may be repeated only one time

* Please note that on-line undergraduate courses are reserved for students with Bachelor degrees in another field who wish to "level" for our Master's in Speech-Language Pathology.  Undergraduate students will not be permitted to take these on-line courses.
