The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers both undergraduate and graduate programs designed to provide students with:

• an understanding of both normal and disordered aspects of human communication, and 
• professional preparation to serve persons with communication disorders.

Undergraduate Programs

The undergraduate program offers preparation for entry into TWU's professional degree programs via two tracks: 

• Deaf Education Track at TWU
• Speech-Language Pathology Track

 

Graduate Programs

The graduate program offers a Master of Science Degree in both Deaf Education and Speech-Language Pathology.  

Deaf Education

Texas Woman's University has the longest standing program for preparing teachers of the deaf in the state of Texas.

Speech-Language Pathology

The Speech-Language Pathology Master's program is offered via:

• On-Campus venue
• Distance learning venue (TETN).

  SLP Prerequisite Program is offered for out-of-field students (those whose bachelor’s degree is in another area) who intend to apply to one of our SLP Master's programs.
