For 110 years, the programs in TWU’s College of Professional Education (COPE) have been producing graduates who are well-prepared for both the present and the future challenges of their profession. We offer fourteen undergraduate, twenty-two masters, and five doctoral programs. With exceptional scores on state certification exams and accreditation agencies, and high marks from the schools, agencies, and organizations that employ our graduates, the programs in COPE have a well-deserved reputation for producing and preparing extraordinary professionals who are making a difference in communities throughout Texas and the world.

Students Present at Conference

A number of COPE undergraduate students made presentation at the annual meeting of the Consortium of State Organizations for Texas Teacher Education (CSOTTE), the largest organization for teacher preparation in Texas. TWU’s Second Annual New Teachers Academy took place on the Denton campus on Tuesday, July 21. Reading Conference

Over 500 educators participated in the 26th Annual Billie J. Askew Reading Recovery & K-6 Literacy Institute November 2-3 at the Hotel Intercontinental in Dallas. The institute is named after a former reading professor at Texas Woman’s University who play a major role in bringing the Reading Recovery Program to TWU. Who's Who at TWU

Ten undergraduate students from COPE were selected for inclusion in the 2015 edition of Who’s Who and honored at annual recognition dinner. Who’s Who is one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs in the nation. Faculty are asked to nominate students who enhance the positive image of the American students through their contributions to community and more.
