Our division offers scholarships ranging from $100 to $1,500 per academic year to undergraduate and graduate chemistry majors. These scholarships are awarded to first-time-in-college, transfer and continuing students. Scholarships may be awarded on the basis of overall GPA, GPA in chemistry courses, financial need or other criteria specified by the scholarship. Some scholarships carry the requirement that the recipient do research with a TWU Division of Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty member. For transfer and continuing students, the applicant should present a GPA of at least 3.00, overall and in chemistry coursework.

Apply for scholarships through the TWU Pioneer Scholarship System.

Robert A. Welch Undergraduate Research Summer Fellowships

In addition to division scholarships, summer research fellowships are available through our Robert A. Welch Foundation division grant. These fellowships are $2500 awarded on a competitive basis to students working on research projects over the summer. The applications for these are announced in late spring and are not available through the regular scholarship application process.
