CFE Travel Grants

CFE TRAVEL ASSISTANCE for Presentations at Conferences or Participation in Professional Meetings and Workshops

The CFE Travel Assistance Fund is set up to enable faculty members to defray some of the travel costs associated with presenting on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) at professional conferences or with attending meetings that will further their pedagogical development.

For academic year 2017-18, the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) has allocated money for fall (Sept. 1 - Dec. 31), spring (Jan. 1 – May 31), and summer assistance (June 1 – August 31).

This program is intended for faculty making presentations that have been peer-reviewed, juried, or selected by the major associations or societies in their fields. We will also support attendance at conferences and workshops for professional development purposes with an emphasis on pedagogy. Preference will be given to TWU tenure/tenure-track full-time faculty with a teaching appointment for 2017 – 2018; but we will consider applications from visiting and adjunct faculty. Students are not eligible to apply. Only one trip per person will be funded/supported in a fiscal year at a maximum of $800. Also: Priority will be given to applicants who have not received funding from the ORSP Travel Assistance Program in AY 2017-18.

Please see the instructions and more detailed guidelines on our CFE-travel-fund-2018 form.
