Eligibility Requirements

• Be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident of the US.
• Have an interest in a biomedical research career
• Major in biology, chemistry, mathematics, nutrition, kinesiology, or other science relevant to biomedical research
• Have completed one semester at a participating school with a GPA of 2.8 or higher by the end of the first semester
• Be a member of an underrepresented ethnic group

How to Apply

1. Complete an application [pdf].
2. Ask two teachers to provide recommendations. Attach these to your application. Teacher Recommendation Form [pdf]
3. Submit your application to the local BRIDGES coordinator along with transcripts at the end of your fall semester in the freshman year.
