  • American Society of Biomechanics Conference at Virginia Tech is just around the corner, and the TWU Biomechanics lab will be represented there with presentations by Dr. Kwon and Jeff Casebolt.  Several other lab members will also be in attendance.  Look for us and we'll look for you.

  • Smart Balance Master:  It has arrived!!!  We are all excited about the new research opportunities that this equipment offers the lab.  Projects will begin with the Fall 2006 semester.  The lab will also be working in collaboration on research with the TWU Adapted Physical Education program.

 

  • Congratulations Inertia-X on being the TWU intramural outdoor soccer Champions!!! 

 

 

  • American Society of Biomechanics (ASB) Dr. Young-Hoo Kwon presented... Sukhoon Yoon presented...  Dr. Bee-Oh Lim presented...  Cleveland, Ohio, USA.   2005

 

  • Chancellor's Student Research Award: Congratulations to doctoral student Sukhoon Yoon for receiving the Texas Woman's University "Chancellor's Student Research Award" for 2006.

 

  • New Investigator Award: Congratulations to doctoral student Gary Christopher for making the finalist list for the "New Investigator Award" presented annually by the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports.  We anxiously await the final decision by the ISBS.

 

  • RECENT UPGRADES:
  • The Motion Capture Lab is now operating under the new Kwon3D XP motion analysis software system. 
  • The lab has also instituted an eight camera configuration.
  • The lab has acquired two more AMTI force platforms.
  • The lab has purchased a new Smart Balance Master and Long Forceplate from NeuroCom International Inc.
