Biomechanics Data Smoothing

A workshop on biomechanics data smoothing was held in conjunction with the XVII International Symposium on Biomechanics in Sports, 1999. The workshop was a cooperative venture of both the ISBS and the ISB. It was organized by G. Wood and B. Gibson. The lecturers Herbert Hatze, Giannis Giakas, and James Dowling are amongst the foremost experts in this field and have all made original publications on the subject in recent years.

The software written by Dr. Giakas can now be downloaded directly from his home page:
http://ggiakas.users.uth.gr.

Instructions: Follow the link and select <Software> in the index, click to <GGPSA - Automatic Filtering> and download the zipped file ggpsa.exe (3178 KB). Then follow the installation and operating instructions provided in \program files\Ggpsa\read.me.

ISBS Research Papers

Papers presented at ISBS conferences can be sent to any interested person by mail.

With this service, ISBS attempts to disseminate information and materials on biomechanics in sports presented at ISBS Conferences since 1983 to sports biomechanics researchers, coaches and teachers. Papers from 1987 on are indexed.

This service is available free of charge for ISBS members in good standing up to 5 papers per member and per year:

  1. Select the Annual Symposia page.
  2. Search appropriate papers.
  3. Identify relevant papers. Note down Author, Title and Year.
