Advancement Via Individual Determination is a system designed to enhance student retention and graduate rates. If implemented properly, AVID permeates campus culture and breaks down traditional barriers between Academics and Student Life. AVID cultivates the habits of mind and the skills students need to be successful at the university and beyond. It gives faculty the students they wish they had.

What does AVID do?
