2003:
Played 116 games in her first season with the Pioneers…tallied 23 assists at
Angelo State on Sept. 23…ranked fifth on the team in
digs with 231 (1.99 per game)…her dig total was in the
double digits during seven matches, with a career-high 19 against
LSC foe Texas A&M-Commerce on Oct. 2…named to Who’s
Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges.
PRIOR TO TWU:
Lettered for two seasons at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas
for Coach Shelly Barberee...ranked 12th in the country
in assists and digs in 2002...tabbed an NJCAA Academic All-American
in 2001 and 2002...named to the Dean’s List every semester...member
of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society...helped guide team to
the 2001 national tournament...earned a general studies Degree
in 2003.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Two-year letterwinner in volleyball and softball at East
Central High School in San Antonio...earned All-District
honorable mention 8-5A honors in volleyball as a junior
and senior...voted team captain in 2000 ...also tabbed All-District
honorable mention 8-5A in softball in 2001...member of
the
Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society and the National
Honor Society...named to the All-Academic team in 1999
and 2000.
PERSONAL:
Rochelle was born on March 17, 1983 and is the daughter of
Beth Johnson...hobbies include
playing sports
and listening
to music...a business and accounting major, earning a
perfect 4.0 grade point average in her first year at TWU.
