2004: Messmer had a stellar season for TWU earning North Division All-Conference first team honors ... selected to the North Division All-Academic team as well ... was named Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week twice (Oct. 11-18 and Oct. 25-31) ... broke the school record for kills by a setter with 206 as a junior ... had six triple-doubles ... in four-game win at Central Oklahoma had 13 kills, 36 assists and 18 digs ... played in 113 games registering 943 set assists overall and 8.35 per game.
2003: One of six Pioneers that received Lone Star Conference honors with an honorable mention nod…twice named the LSC North Setter of the Week back-to-back on October 13 and 20…led the team with 1,023 assists (9.47 per game), ranking ninth in the conference…earned Denton Record-Chronicle Player of the Week honors.
PRIOR TO TWU: Lettered for one season at the University of Texas-San Antonio...saw action in 32 games and led the Roadrunners in assists (1,103) and assists per game (9.76)...also finished second on the team with 260 digs ... recorded season-best of 59 assists vs. Northwestern State on Nov. 16.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2002 graduate of South Garland High School ... lettered in volleyball for four years ... helped lead South Garland to back-to-back district titles and a 14-0 mark in 2000 ... named Most Valuable Player of her high school team as a sophomore, junior and senior ... earned All-Tournament honors at the 2001 Tour of Texas 17s division ... elected team captain as a sophomore, junior and senior ... tabbed All-District second team in 1998 and All-District first team in 1999 and 2000 ... earned the South Garland High School Fighting Heart Award as a junior ... graduated in the top five percent of her class...member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club ... tabbed a Texas Scholar...four-time winner of the Garland I.S.D. Academic Excellence Award.
