EARNS LONE STAR CONFERENCE
PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK HONORS
DENTON,
TX—TWU volleyball player Johanna Hubbard
(Southlake, TX/Carroll HS) was named the Lone Star
Conference North Division Setter-of-the-Week by helping lead
the Pioneers to two victories over Texas Wesleyan and Southeastern
Oklahoma for the week of Oct. 6-12, 2002. Hubbard totaled
85 assists and 36 digs in TWU's three matches, which is an
average of 7.73 assists and 3.27 digs per game. The 44 assists
she recorded in the Pioneers win over Texas Wesleyan is a
team season-high. Hubbard needs just 271 assists to pass
the 4,000 mark for her career.
The
TWU Volleyball team has a week off before they host Dallas
Baptist on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. It
will be Faculty/Staff Appreciation night in Kitty Magee Arena
as all members of the university faculty and staff will be
let into the game for free.
