2004: Butler was named to the all-Conference second team as a defender...her only goal of the season was the gamewinner in 1-0 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State before turning her attention to defense...played 17 games with 16 starts...received the Kitty Magee Award, recognizing the most dedicated student-athlete, at TWU’s year-end banquet.
2003: Did not miss a game for the second straight season...scored a goal on a penalty kick and assisted teammate Stephanie Stein’s goal in a 2-2 tie with Dallas Baptist on Sept. 9...scored an unassisted goal during a non-conference match at St. Edward’s...ranked sixth on the team with 14 shots on goal.
2002: Earned all-Lone Star Conference second team honors at forward...led the Pioneers with 50 shots at 2.94 shots per game...scored two goals, including the gamewinner against Wayland Baptist on Aug. 31...also turned in three assists...had a game-high seven shots in TWU’s victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sept. 13.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year soccer letterwinner at Burleson High School...all-District first team performer all four seasons and was the Lady Elks’ leading scorer as a freshman and sophomore...member of the Junior Olympics team in 2001 that won a silver medal in Italy... selected as a Who’s Who in High School Sports for two seasons and was MVP of two tournaments in 2001...played for the Mustangs, Fort Worth United and Texas Lighting Black club soccer teams.
PERSONAL: Erica Lynn is the daughter of Lorna Butler of Burleson...born on August 19, 1984......enjoys swimming and babysitting in her spare time…a kinesiology major.
