EARNS LONE STAR CONFERENCE
PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK HONORS
DENTON,
TX—TWU soccer player Angela Contreras
(Irving, Tex./Irving H.S.) was named the Lone Star Conference
Offensive Player-of-the-Week by leading the Pioneers to two
victories over Dallas Baptist and Kansas Wesleyan for the
week of Sept. 22-28. Contreras recorded one goal vs. DBU
and two goals vs. KWU to give her a team-leading four this
season. She also leads the team with 34 shots. Contreras
is the first TWU soccer player to earn a
conference player-of-the-week award.
The TWU
soccer team is on the road to play two conference games this
weekend. They play West Texas A&M on Friday,
Oct. 4 and Midwestern State on Saturday, Oct. 5. Game time
for the WTAM game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. while the MSU
game begins at 2:00 p.m.
