2005: Russ-Keller had a dominant sophomore season…named to the 2005 All-Lone Star Conference South Division team… broke the school record for strikeouts against the College of Saint Mary (3/7/05) with 13 k’s…threw two complete game one-hitters against Cameron (2/5/05) and College of Saint Mary (3/7/05) posted a 1.61 ERA this year with 126 strikeouts…made 30 appearances with 24 starts…finished the year 13-15 in 174.1 innings of action…earned LSC Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of March 15-21…named the Denton Record-Chronicle Player of the Week twice… named to the Lone Star Conference South Division All-Academic Team…member of squad named one of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top Ten Academic Teams for the 2004-05 school year with a team grade point average of 3.416 which was eighth in NCAA Division II.
2004: All-Lone Star Conference South Division Second Team pitcher...All-LSC Tournament Team...struck out 10 Lady Reds in a 2-0 win against Northeastern State in the LSC Tourney opener...LSC Pitcher of the Week in February...Denton Record-Chronicle Player of the Week ending February 28...made a team-high 31 appearances and pitched more than 153 innings, despite missing a week with a shoulder injury...posted an 18-10 record with a 2.24 ERA...led the team with 118 strikeouts and five shutouts...racked up nine strikeouts in seven innings against Texas Wesleyan on March 9.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered three years for the Dickinson High School softball team...team captain for coaches Charlie Smith and Mike Meador...earned District MVP and All-County Player of the Year honors as a junior after leading the Gators to their first District Championship and a Regional Final...made the Fort Bend ISD All-Tournament Team as a sophomore, throwing two shutouts and two perfect games.
PERSONAL: A criminal justice major...enjoys coaching young softball players.
