2004: Ranked
second on the team with 10 sacrifice hits and tied for third
with 11 successful stolen bases in 13 attempts...scored
the tying run in TWU’s regular season finale, a 4-2
victory, against Tarleton State when she scored one of her
17 runs of the season off an error by the TSU shortstop...made
big defensive contributions during a doubleheader against
St. Mary’s on March 30, catching two tough fly balls
and turning the second into a crucial double play as the
Pioneers won the game...selected to the Lone Star Conference
Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2003: Ranked third on the team in stolen bases with 16-of-18
attempts made...hit two doubles and two triples as a freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in volleyball, basketball, track and
softball at Lake Dallas High School…named MVP and all-district
first team 9-3A at catcher for the past two seasons…selected
Denton County Female Athlete of the Year by the Greater Denton
Sports Commission, Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year for
Lake Dallas H.S. and named Denton Record-Chronicle All-Area
first team in 2002…caught 69 percent of base stealers
and batted .336 with six doubles, 22 RBI and 22 runs scored
in 2002…tabbed all-district first team in volleyball
and basketball in her senior season…placed third in the
1600 and 3200 meter runs at the District meet and third in
the 1600 at the UIL Regional meet…finished third out
of 182 in her graduating class…also a National English
Merit Award winner and a member of the United States Achievement
Academy.
PERSONAL: A mathematics major…enjoys horseback riding,
swimming, reading and baby sitting in her spare time.
