TWU SOFTBALL DOUBLEADER
AT TARLETON STATE CANCELLED
Pioneers Earn Lone Star
Conference Berth with No. 2 Seed
DENTON, Texas -- Texas Woman's
University softball team clinched the Lone Star Conference
South Division No. 2 seed, despite not playing its final
two regular season games. Saturday's doubleheader at Tarleton
State was cancelled due to the severe weather that came through
Texas late Friday.
TWU and Tarleton State both finished the season
with a 10-6 LSC record, but the Pioneers earned the No. 2
seed after sweeping the TexAnns on Friday, 8-5 and 4-2. Angelo
State will be the South's top seed.
The 2004 Lone Star Conference will begin this
Thursday, April 29 at Southwest Park in Irving, Texas. Pairings
w ill be announced later by the conference office, but TWU
will face the No. 3 North Division seed in its first game
at 7 p.m.
