TERESA FLORES NAMED

SOUTH DIVISION HITTER-OF-THE-WEEK
DENTON, TX—Texas
Woman's University junior shortstop Teresa Flores
(Corpus Christi, TX/Miller H.S.) earned Lone
Star Conference South Division Hitter-of-the-Week honors for
the week of March 10-17, 2003 by helping lead the Pioneers
to a 5-1 record last week. Flores hit 12 of 16 from the plate
for a batting average of .750 with nine runs scored, three
doubles, two triples and seven RBI. She currently leads the
conference in batting average (.543), hits (50), doubles (10),
triples (7) and total bases (74).
Up
next, the Pioneer softball team will travel to Kingsville,
Texas,
and open up conference play against Texas A&M University-Kingsville
on Friday and Saturday, March 21-22, 2003. Friday's double
header will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Saturday's games beginning
at noon.
